Wash the jar and lid thoroughly before first use. Remove the cartridge and rinse it with clean water before installation. Fix the cartridge securely in the designated position. Fill the upper chamber with potable/treated drinking water. Allow the water to pass through the cartridge into the lower chamber. For the first 12 batches, discard the water if recommended by the cartridge manufacturer, as initial carbon/mineral fines may be present. Once ready, the water can be stored in the jar and consumed. Keep the jar covered and away from direct sunlight. Clean the jar regularly to maintain hygiene. Cartridge Care Do not wash the cartridge with soap or detergent. Do not use the cartridge with visibly contaminated or unsafe water unless the cartridge is specifically certified for that contaminant. Replace the cartridge according to the manufacturer's specified service life/capacity rather than claiming a fixed period without test data. If the water develops an unusual taste, smell, colour or flow reduction, inspect/replace the cartridge.
